Lake Chelan Kokanee Guide
« on: December 13, 2023, 11:56:58 AM »
Folks -
My father has been wanting to try kokanee fishing on Lake Chelan for a couple years and just hasn't made it happen.  I'd like to buy him and I a guided fishing trip for Christmas.  Does anyone have any experience with one of the guides on the lake and/or have any recommendations?  they all seem to have pretty good reviews, but would love to hear some of your reviews.  Thanks folks

Shawn Nickles is the GOAT of Chelan.  If you can get on his boat, you will catch limits and learn a ton.

We have had great experiences with Bobber Down Guide Service as well.

Both Shawn Nickles (Sunrise to Sunset) and Brad Wagner (Bobber Down) are fantastic dudes. You'll have a ball with either of them (and they would tell you the same thing about each other). Sadly, Sam Baird is no longer with us. He would have been right there with these guys.

Right on fellas.  Thanks so much for the feedback.  Booked a day with Shawn in a couple weeks and can't wait to hit the water.

Missed Sam's passing, bummer, his son missed his first buck with me and took a deer the next day.  Sad and wish the family good.  Tight lines!!

Slammin Sammy would have been your best bet.  Great guy! The stories he tells was pretty awesome.   He knew how to fish and bs at the same time.

Bobber Down should provide a great tip. Sam & him would flip each other crap in close friend kind of way...
