Taking my Nephew to get first deer (Gardner unit)
« on: October 11, 2023, 02:30:52 PM »
Hello everyone and cheers to another hunting season. Like the title says, I am taking my Nephew to get his first deer. It will be a doe hunt. I have some knowledge of this unit but not a ton. Any words of advice where to focus? I know it shouldn't be too hard to find does, just don't have a lot of time to dedicate to helping him fill his tag. Thanks everyone in advance and good luck this season!!

Some people just can't help but to put their negative vibes out there. Yes, tag soup is part of the hunting experience we've ALL have come to experience from time to time......however, my goal is to do everything in my powers to put my Nephew on his first deer. If he's successful, awesome! If he's not, awesome as well. At least he will have had an opportunity! Now PLEASE, only positive vibes on this thread please......

Just want to say....
Some have different views on antlerless tags.
That blame should be put where blame is due.
That's a WDFW issue, not any hunter or youth.

If I had information,I'd throw some at ya. But I've never stepped in the unit.
But I do wish ya luck, maybe someone will offer up some info.
My advise, Go slow,be very observant,be ready for your opportunity.
