If I knew how to shoot yesterday would have been a good day. Embarrassing that our shots to bird ratio was.

Same  :chuckle: ours was about 40 shells for 6 birds and not because the shots were too far.

We shot a 5 man on Friday and a 4 man today.  Looking forward to the upcoming weather changes.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Mixed bag upriver. I need to break out the recipe book for fishy duck dishes. I’m leaning toward gumbo.
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.

For fishy ducks, the best recipe I found is to butcher them up, put into a crab pot, toss that pot into the ocean, collect crabs in said pots and eat those.

Been fairly slow this year so far, definitely haven't shot as many birds as we normally do thus far.  Last weekend a lot of the mallards were paired up already, which I thought was earlier than normal.  We will see what this winter weather does for us!

Beautiful day to finish the season. Best one since '22-'23! Panz says 8 months of farm life and fishin is fine.
