Working the kinks out
« on: October 30, 2023, 07:20:19 AM »
Kinda glad I didn’t run into any super monsters yesterday.  Working with some new gear, and trying to brush the dust off myself, I missed a whole bunch of shots.

Awesome photo!
What’s your current setup and how close do you have to the animal in order to get photos looking this close? Currently using a kowa 883 with my iPhone but it’s a pain to haul around setup and ready to take photos , and the clarity/focus just isn’t always there

The definition is crazy, Doug. Wow!
"Restricting the rights of law-abiding citizens based on the actions of criminals and madmen will have no positive effect on the future acts of criminals and madmen. It will only serve to reduce individual rights and the very security of our republic." - Pianoman https://linktr.ee/johnlwallace https://valoaneducator.tv/johnwallace-2014743

Thanks Pman.

He was bedded at about 10 yards. Unfortunately I had the wrong set up in my hand which was the 400.  I needed the 70-200 but it was in my pack.   He stood up and meandered on.  I paralleled above him at about 20 yards for this full frame shot.  30 yards is about perfect for the 400.

One of my favorite time a year. Seeing bone get close!
People get offended at nothing at all. So, speak your mind and be unapologetic.
