Yeah, I think consulting a lawyer might be smart.  I can't remember if the book is out of print, but either way, the heirs of the estate of B. Iverson likely have legal rights to the content.  I'm surprised that the book isn't more available.  Quite obviously, there is still a market for it.

I used to work with with the authors brother, I believe he has passed away a few years ago

Does anyone here who managed to snag either vol 1 or 2 up when it wasn't out of print yet want to let go for it for a reasonable price?

Looks like cheapest on thriftbook is $70  :'(

Asked my wife for this book for Christmas last year. She got it for me then I opened it and it was signed with someone's name on it. I was surprised because I thought it was new. I asked her about it and she said she got it off ebay and it was used. Asked how much it cost her and she said $124.00 I had no idea these were going for so much, didn't realize until after that they only print a limited amount. Wife didn't batt an eye since this is the only book I have ever asked for.

I would say what ever the price is it is worth it. So much good information in this book. I plan to keep it forever and pass it down to my kids when I am done with it.

When I wake up in the middle of the night to go see a man about a horse and can't get back to sleep one of the things I do is grab my iPad and check to see if there are any good deals on these books.  If there are any that are a particularly good deal I frequently post a note and link in the Campfire section.  I have posted a few recently.  If someone checks first thing in the morning they usually snag it.  They don't last long though.

I've got a couple hard bound copies and try and keep six or eight paper backs on hand to give away.  I still find a few here and there at garage sales, estate sales and junk shops.
