My glove system when it gets really cold is a pair of Fox River wool grippers (I do 90% of my late season hunting in these), a pair of OR down mittens and a pair of lightweight waterproof mitten shells. You can mix and match accordingly depending on the weather and pretty much covers all the bases, and the down mitts with the shell over is super warm and quick to remove

Down mittens if you don't need dexterity.  I have some OR mitts that are waterproof and windproof if it's nasty.  Either can be used with chemical handwarmers.

Outdoor research gripper plus convertible mitts aren’t bulky like the rag wool style, are water proof and wind proof. They have good grip and silent magnetic securement of the mitt when you need to use your thumbs and fingers. Wore them all last winter and never had my hands get cold or wet.

You might check into battery heated gloves.  I've got a pair (made by Gerbing) that I picked up at Cabelas several years ago and use them all the time.  They're pretty warm without using the batteries and if my hands start to get cold I just turn them on for a while.  They have 4 different settings for warmth and I usually only have to use the 2 lowest settings.  I seem to get 5-6 hours at the lower settings.

Pair of these in 2xl is in my kill kit for game field processing.  Work great in cold weather.

Mittens are going to be the best option in cold weather. I always run fingerless merinos, helps keep hands warmer and when you have to take them out of the mittens, and these are my go to, they will be hard to beat:

I will say I do get them discounted, $220 is steep I know.

I've also gone towards a muff with handwarmers as I'm not a huge fan of gloves. Game changer in winter bow hunting, shooting a hand release.

I have Raynauds, so keeping my hands warm is the bane of my cold weather hunts. I have tried so many gloves it’s ridiculous. What I’ve come to figure out is I pretty much have to have a hand warmer in each glove. For glassing I use Kuiu Superdown mittens they are a great super light option for glassing. When I need some dexterity I use a soft shell type glove with wind stopper with enough room to keep a hand warmer in my palm or against the back of my hand. First lite or Sitka merino liner gloves are great for using inside of mittens. I had a pair of Kuiu expedition gloves that were really nice, warm and waterproof, but didn’t fit me right, so only used them once. The buddy a gave them to ended up really liking them.

Military surplus "flyers mittens". Great for keeping the hands warm then rip them off when the time is right. Both cheap and warm.

Usually I hunt late bow seasons and frequently sit a stand so my hands get cold. I’ve gone with skinny merino liner types with wool cutoffs over and then I’ll stuff my hands into a muffler and have a few hand warmers set up in there. Toasty if you’re sittin. If I’m moving hands stay warmer so just thin merino in case I need to make a shot.

Any of the quality mittens with the cut-off fingers where the flap folds back.  Put a handwarmer in the "flap" and then make sure it has a strong enough magnet in it hold the flap back with the handwarmer inside.  You can also sew a little pocket in the flap so the handwarmer stays inside and doesn't fall out on accident.  I have used this as cold as 24 below.  The only bug on this set up is when it is wet.  If it's wet you just need another dry handwarmer or another pair of gloves and handwarmer.

Manzella the best ones I have found, especially when bow hunting.  The quality wool ones work good too.

Bought some $40 dollar suede leather "chopper mittens" with removable insulated liners off of Amazon.  Throw a hand warmer in each one and they are like an oven.

One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

Wool liners with hand warmer inside kuiu superpro down mitten for glassing.  Wool cut fingers with flup over and handwarmers for hunting.
