Marten trapping
« on: November 10, 2023, 04:04:38 PM »
Any one help a fellow trapper out I want to build some martin boxes for the koro rat traps. I was wondering what size boxes people are using/building. Any help would be awsome.

I use mailbox tubes
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

If you look back through the trapping threads I know there are some on the use of KOROS with pictures of boxes.

I’ve trapped them heavy in Ak and the newspaper tubes worked best for me and I tried everything. They stack super well inside ea other, cold doesn’t bother them and they are light.

I went out and measured mine. 4 1/2" x 5" x 10" all inside diameter. I'm not trapping marten though but that does fit the KORO rodent trap. It seems like the marten guys are using longer boxes though.

I will get some pics with measurements up tonight
But be smart, careful and polite where setting traps as you might be setting near sets already made
