Help! Can't see my pins through my peep!
« on: November 22, 2023, 06:11:56 PM »
Was just packing all my stuff for my archery hunt. I pulled my bow back just to check on it and the peep seems like it is twisted the wrong way. I cannot even look through it. I looked at a couple videos on YouTube and tried moving my splitters on my string but that didn't work. Is there another fix I can try for an at home remedy? I don't have a press so trying to take care of it at home. Perfect timing since it is the night before Thanksgiving. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Your string has rotated 180 the peep is sitting at the wrong angle. Use your fingers to spin the string and draw the bow (always with an arrow) if you have a d loop see if it spun on the string

My bow does this and I just twist it 180 deg before I draw, so it twists into the correct positron when I draw. Annoying, but a workable temporary fix. Once I twist mine it stays there awhile, so just keep an eye on it.

Yeah I can spin it and it will stay for 1 or 2 draws then it will go back to where I can't see my pins again. I guess I will just have to do this and leave an arrow knocked when I am sitting. What would cause this to do this all of a sudden? Never had this problem before.

I had this issue before, sporting goods place didn’t tie it right, took it to an actual archery shop and never had the problem again. Had another issue pop up with a d-loop that a different place tied on and it started separating. Costed me a bobcat on opening day. Didn’t realize it at the time put I knocked an arrow, started to pull back and my arrow went flying up in the air. I thought maybe I accidentally hit the trigger, knocked another arrow and same thing. I ended up putting my release on it and watched what happened and realized d-loop was separating. I knocked a 3rd arrow and used fingers, missed it by I’d be willing to bet inch and half to high.
