The endangered species act is used as a cudgel against consumptive use of natural resources.
It all started with the Spotted owl….
FS road systems closed in NE Wa for Grizzly bears. Of course now the Feds are trying to cram Grizzly’s down our throats again in Northcentral Wa. Huge chunk of Northcenral Wa closed to the night hunting of bobcats because of the Lynx recovery zone.
The state has dumped Fishers (an invasive species) in Northcentral Wa. The restrictions will come with these.
And now, just this week, they’ve put the Western Grey squirrel on the Endangers list.
This listing will bring many restrictions and closures on many activity’s. From hunting, trapping, farming, grazing, logging, construction, electrical power transmission, etc, etc.

Pretty sad state of affairs.

I just got a message from the NTA that USFW is getting the ball rolling on listing the wolverine. Wolverenes have had 30 years of population growth and have expanded their range into Washington and Oregon...

 when will this madness end?

The Wolverine is doing quite well and expanding its range throughout the west. Mainly I believe because it’s been mainly left alone by gov agency’s. Now that they want to manage it, they will prolly drive it to extinction.
This strategy by segments of the goverment, and environmental cults, will end when we are all living in hovels along I5, eating bugs, and waiting on our ration of government pot to be delivered by door dash.

Idaho F&G works very hard collecting data to support scientific wildlife management.
Most of Idaho opens on public land to wolf trapping useing footholds on sept 10. Unit one does not open til November 15, I believe.

I think it is something ID cannot ignore. The whole thing is a huge moneymaker for the Orgs that file these lawsuits. They have figured out how to get their legal fees paid by the feds for suing the Feds plus they get donations. It's a dream job for an environmental activist with a law degree.

just got back from Idaho and talking to a warden and a IFG Biologist the wolf PROBLEM is bad
Isn’t it a shame that people who think they know absolutely have no idea and the biologists and wardens encourage and tell where to go to fill your wolf tags

judge malloy has been terrible. I dont know how the antis always get cases in front of him .He always rules against any sound management of wolves or other predators. He is the one the antis used to delay wolf hunting for years when Idaho was 10x the wolf population originally agreed upon.

The antis know this that’s why they always file their BS where he resides
