First of all I understand there are many variables...but just asking your favorite and why? I have many different ones for different platforms. What is your favorite for full sized 1911. Lets see'em

Love the gunfighters inc holster back in the day.  Now switching to a local builder with similar build OWB holster for my 1911.

Saek clandestine is my new go to.

For the last year or so I have enjoyed using a Kenai chest holster from Gunfighters Inc. https://gunfightersinc.com/shop/custom-kenai-chest-holster/

My Kimber Custom TLE uses two Galcos, a PLE Padder Holster and a COP 3 Slot Strongside/Crossraw Belt Holster.

Can't imagine hanging my full size Kimber off my belt/waist.
Shoulder holster all the way.

I have a Blackhawk Serpa retention holster for my full size colt delta elite. I can't remember if it was the cqc or the level 2. It has a paddle button that needs to be depressed otherwise it's locked in. I like it but it's slightly noisy when hiking and kinda bulky

For hiking and hunting I prefer my Galco Miami Classic shoulder holster doesn't interfere with the waist belt of a pack the double mag on the opposite side helps balance it out. Concealed is just a simple IWB cheap holster for 9mm shield.  :twocents:

I have six Blackhawk Serpas, with the Paddle, with the Quick-disconnect system (also on thigh rig), and belt-loop configs.
For my .40 cal and 9MMs.

Leather

 :yeah:

My Kimber gets nothing but leather.  It is my Dress up going to meetings attire.  :chuckle:

The others have both leather and kidex depending what I am doing or wearing.

When I carried a 1911 I used a Bianchi can't remember the exact model number at the time but was very similar if not the same as the #82 CarryLok. I liked the leather, open top, belt slide design with the retention that didn't use a finger over the top of the trigger. I miss that holster but not necessarily the firearm that was in it when I sold it.
