I saw a spike a couple weeks ago that was broken off on both sides like that.

Watched this guy all season. Looked like a good looking young 2x2 starting eyeguards. When the rut kicked in one night he walked through. Shortly after a new big 2 point showed up on camera for first time all year. Later that night the original smaller 2 came back through broken on one side. I don't see broken blacktails very often.
Maturity is when you have the power to destroy someone who did you wrong but instead you breathe, walk away, and let life take care of them.

Broken, or hoof rot?
You'll never get a Big'un if you keep shooting Little'un's.
