Port Angeles Halibut Derby

I ended up in 27th place w/this 42 lber. They was between 600 and 700 fisherman.

The halibut derby: the ONLY time and place it's acceptable to tell another man he's got a nice butt. ahahaha.

Very nice. I went for the first time ever this last weekend. I don't know why but the one I caught looks smaller then yours. I didn't put mine on a scale but the guy who caught one a little smaller then mine weighted his after he got home at 43.5 lbs. That's after he gutted it. So I'm just guessing mine was around 50lbs.
It's not the size of the trophy that make's it a trophy.

Here's one my fishing partner caught two weeks ago. 48 lbs. BTW, 27th was a $160.00 fish. In the derdy.

Cool fish. I've heard you catch them out of PA in 500+ feet? My grandpa always used to tell me the buoy right off ediz hook was a good spot too.
