Sony Homebrew Solar power conversion
« on: June 10, 2009, 09:34:12 AM »
Has anyone done one? I am thinking of a project to play around with.  It seems solar limit where the camera can go but will also make the battery last much longer.  I think I will start with this charger. Its probably more expensive than I can find elsewhere but it appears to have all I need in it. Will just have to do a little wiring.

for $20 it's worth a shot, although if put under cover (trees) I'm not sure how good it would work. It's possible though, batteries only need a slight trickle to keep them alive, so it might work. Small price for an experiment. let us know how it goes.

:yeah:    Worth a shot, would be awsome if it worked, but would it work well in the trees?
I would rather be a conservative nut job, than a liberal with no nuts, and no job!

It would not work in the trees very well but there is usually an opening close by. And with a 5.5 volt output, I could run the wires a ways if needed.
