Stump/Rock buck
« on: December 21, 2023, 04:38:46 AM »
We've all seen these while hunting (I think)  :chuckle:

Looking thru the binos trying to locate a wounded buck at 600 yards and swept across this. Had to bring out the spotter and found nothing but a pile of rocks. LOL
Do you see it?....swore it was a buck.

I'd be more concerned about the alien rock face looking at me on the right. :o

It’s fun when you do it for the 5th or 6th time.

There are a couple bushed out there I have felt like taking a chainsaw to

Laughed way to hard at this while out exploring earlier this year. Yes, that is a plywood cutout of Bigfoot next to a stump!  :chuckle:

Thing of it is, you learn to really scrutinize those things.   I missed a gigantic buck up in the Twisp River when I was younger.   I was too lazy to throw up a pair of binos on something that just didnt look right.  No way that could be a deer, but definitely didnt look right.   I was to into my snickers bar I guess.  It was misting and my binos were tucked safely inside my jacket.   I finally decided to take a look at it just about the time it got tired of standing there broadside looking at me.   Then the mountain moved. LOL   Lesson learned
