Spokanesalyer...Lincoln County is my stomping ground every year. I know Lincoln county VERY well. There is alot of country to cover. Even if you got more specific on where the buck was...finding him is another story. He didn't get that big by being stupid. I don't want to rain on your parade, but I am going to guess by the background...that he was either in the Bluestem area or the Swanson Lake area. If it was Swanson Lake, 12,500 acres is alot of ground to hide. Most of my hunting is on private ground northeast of Davenport. Between Harker canyon and Mill canyon. The land owner controls several thousand acres. Deep canyons with lots of cover and lots of wheat fields for food. I am lucky because there is both Muleys and Whitetails. A few bears and a couple of cats live there also. The Gamie almost hit a bull moose taking his daughter to school coming up out of Mill canyon. Nice buck...I hope he is still around for you this year.   :dunno:

I see your point.  And I know he didn't get that big by being stupid.  I never saw him again come archery or rifle season, and trust me, I looked.  It wasn't Swanson Lakes, it's Fishtrap.  But at 7,000 acres, lots of places for him to go there too.  I'm going to start looking for him soon.  I'll know him when I see him.

I know where Fishtrap is but I have never hunted it. There is some ground out by Coffee pot lake also. Used to be real big bass in Coffee pot lake. I have not fished there since I was a kid.
