It’s a shame everyone turns a blind eye to the issue that we have on this side of the mountains. The mule deer herd are hurting as is and they are out shooting multiple bucks.

no kidding! The worst part, behind the curtain, most these guys agree! They just choose to pucker up in stead. Like it will benefit hunting in the end.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

You’re more than welcome to come over and we can take a drive for a day. The deer herds are struggling as a whole over here.

I don't think its turning a blind eye as there is nothing we can do to change the tribes hunting this late due to their treaty rights. Unless the tribes decide to shut these guys down, there is nothing that posting chit like this is going to change.

It's clear that trophyhunt's only intention was to get on here and fire everyone up because he's upset his beloved Huskies just lost. Getting on public forum and posting stuff to shame or harass them just makes ALL hunters look bad. We need to remember there are a lot of lurkers on this site that are antis, so how does this thread help at all?

Agreed, the state of the herds is dire. WDFW only manages for predators, so we need to figure out how to get the natives on the same page as us. Eventually there will be nothing left for any of us to hunt if something doesn't change soon.

Was this buck shot on the reservation? The Facebook post is confusing to me.

Very aware,  also aware of what started a decline after the hound ban.  Not when tribes started hunting.  Hopefully it will turn a corner for the good.  Your villain is not the tribe it's predators.  Trophy bucks and bulls are, in the end,  bucks and bulls.  The trophy quality is a result of management. Ratios are not what's struggling,  it's population so it discounts your herd arguments.

Theres actually three bucks in the pic obviously recent kills with hide on the heads.. Washington mule deer herds are in the tank and the units that used to produce trophy bucks when a guy could draw a tag after 20 plus years of applying are also a bust and this shows a big part of the reason/problem.  Sure its legal and a "Right" but its still a problem everyone has to side step around to not be called a racist.....I see no problem with the post I thought this site was to share info ....

Why do folks get all mad at some for posting a pic or talking about a native killing a trophy at a odd time of year?  The dude wouldn’t have posted it if he didn’t want folks knowing.  Of course we’re gonna chat about it.  One common theme I’ve always notice with theses trophy bucks and bulls, is a pickup in the background?  They huntin around dealerships?  :chuckle:

It's perplexing to me that folks will lament tribal harvest - and make statements or implications that we need to stop tribes from harvesting deer - to save the herds. Yet I never see those same folks call for curtailing harvest if it's a post or pic of a trophy buck/bull from a special permit, auction/raffle tag, general season tag or any of the other 20,000 deer killed by non-tribal hunters in this state.   :dunno:

Dang your right...maybe I can explain.  It’s because special permit, auction/raffle and general tag holders aren’t displaying pickup loads of trophy animals.  Your clearly trying to spin this....it ain’t workin.  :dunno:

your argument really doesn’t work.  When my cousin killed his ram 10-12 years ago we talked to the biologist about tribal vs state harvest.  It was crazy the numbers.  Just the Muck harvest matched the state harvest for deer in the Yakima units. Mainly in the chinook pass area.  They also had as many or a couple more tags for sheep even then state hunters.
