Cleaning Ford 7.3L Injectors
« on: February 12, 2024, 05:26:28 PM »
I pulled the injectors out of my truck to replace the O rings and I’m curious if I should clean them or just put them back in without cleaning. If cleaning is the way to go, how do you guys typically clean them? I have heard about the ultrasonic cleaner but I really don’t want to buy one.. Does brake cleaner work? Is there any precautions to take? Thanks.

There isn't really a legit way to clean injectors without using some sort of machine. We used to send injectors out to Dr Injector at a different shop I worked at. We used Dr. Injector. You might give them a call and see if they do anything for diesel injectors. Brake clean won't do squat.
