Spring time attracts

What is your go to spring time salt lick or what do you use for your camera. Pulls deer in for you trail camera.?

I just use the salt lick actually a salt block. I have no problem pulling in gobs of deer elk moose bears a few wolves mountain lions a couple coyotes a tribe of rabbits and mice and of course turkeys and Ravens don't know why but they sure like it

Early Spring time is when they need the salt/minerals the most, I’ve been trying to resupply salt spots earlier rather than later. And it’s good to have the cams/salt out early, getting to watch them progress threw their growth season.

I prefer loose salt, selenium blend. Much easier to pack in a gallon sack full than a whole block

Block guy myself .
Loose salt is good also.

Just whatever you prefer, I had moose and elk vacuum up the loose stuff.
So I went to block for the longevity.
With that, sometimes I like to set it ,and forget.

Trace mineral salt with selenium. I like using it over a block for a couple reasons. First is that I can spread it around and actually stir it into the dirt/old stumps etc. If I am on public property, I especially like granular because its not as obvious which means hopefully not as likely for a camera thief to find and swipe my camera.

Salt (granular with selenium) has proven to work well for me.   I had a spot for mule deer where I used deer cane years ago and after it took hold, the deer ate a hole in the ground so deep you couldn’t see their heads when they used it.   Deer cane (the white powder) has to be wet to activate it.  It produces an ex other mic reaction when it first gets wet, so deer won’t touch it till it rains a lot.   I usually take a couple gallon bags and put these stands close to water so I can mix it on the spot.

I also have a theory that big bucks get suspicious of blocks. It’s just a theory, but I think they know there’s something funny about that perfectly square delicious block. But I’ve seen plenty of pics of big bucks on blocks so it’s not a flawless theory haha

Exactly what I do! I use granular minerals and a trophy rock since they’re a little less noticeable also over blocks especially once they tear the ground to nothing but dirt and expose natural rocks they fit right in.

Always have used blocks,first year using loose salt.
Gonna double down ,block ....plus some loose stuff .
