TAC vs NWMC
« on: January 05, 2024, 08:25:32 AM »
I’m looking for input from guys who have shot both events. I’m not in the competition side of things I just am trying to get better and have a good time at the events. are the TAC courses as challenging as NWMC pure elevation course?

TAC is more difficult on the technical side. Pure elevation courses are designed to be more physically challenging. Both are a great time

Done both a good amount of times. For TAC I've only been to Big Sky, for NWMC just Steven's and Hoodoo. TAC is more difficult shots and easier courses. NWMC easier shots, more physical.  Honestly I'm yet to be on a course either have put up that was very hard. The Bow Spyder/Pure Elevation course at Steven's was about the worst, and it wasn't really to bad. Most all these shoots run you to the top on the ski lift then you shoot down. Personally I think it should be the opposite for the challenge or have one or two courses that are this way. I will add some if the shots they set up at TAC are good fun though.

There’s also MAF https://www.mountainarcheryfest.com/
Closest event is in MT. Haven’t done the NWMC, but I’ve been to a couple TAC events. MAF is much more low key than TAC in my experience, courses were fun with less crowds present.
