Fantastic

Any recommendations on print types that would show the detail best? I'd like the stars to show up well and feel like they might blur/blend in print.

I haven't done much with it, but I hear metal is really good if you are looking for something that showcases vibrant colors and contrast.   Might be worth it.   I think this screams that, and it might make the stars really pop

This. I've done metal prints, they turn out amazing.

Same.

The guy that shot the buck got his grip and grin on metal as well and it looks great. Sounds like that’s the move!

If anyone has a Rokslide account, please consider going and voting for this photo in the Mule Deer Photo Contest thread. Would be awesome to see a Washington guy win it!

I took your idea and ran with it.  I had a pretty decent aurora shot and a pretty decent silhouette and combined the two.  I do almost zero photoshopping other than cropping and resizing and some white balance,  but it was a fun project.   The fact you were able to do the real deal is pretty awesome!  Good luck on the contest.  I'm not a member, but still went to check it out.   There is some good competition.
