GMU 154 - Mill Creek
« on: January 30, 2024, 01:49:20 PM »
I see on the game harvest reports that a lot of bears are killed in the mill creek unit compared to the rest of the blue mountain units. It just seems odd since most of thay unit is ag fields and private land. Are there a lot of bears in there? Or landowners just knowing the good spots on there own property?

Often see more bear than deer these days.  Blue creek 154.  4,000 acres or so are public, small % but quite a chunk.

Plus some of the draws and fields are “feel free to hunt”

Over the years the wildlife has come lower and lower. You’ll see wolves in the stubble at times.
