I looked through several brands of rangefinding binos in the field while hunting with buddies before I settled on Swarovski El Range binos. The old adage buy once, cry once kept ringing in my head as I was paying for them though.

For what it's worth, I couldn't tell much difference between the two as I tested and looked through several brands before making a decision. I hunted with Zeiss classics for years with no complaints, but I think the Geovids are slightly better. Really I don't think either are bad options if that is your budget and both are noticeably better than some of the cheaper rangefinding binos like Vortex Fury, Bushnell Fusion, Sig Kilo and Burris Signature.

If I had to choose between the those two I would pick zeiss every time. My family use to own liecas and had a nightmare with customer service warranty on some binoculars that failed.only thing that saved us was cabelas stepped in and stood up for us. After that I swore I’d never own anything Lieca again, doesn’t matter how good it is.
Had great customer service from Zeiss, went way above what I expected.

Never looked through the Zeiss, I’m sure they are great. Love my Geovids, zero issues.

I’m on my 2nd pair of Geovids with no complaints about either pair. I bought a second pair after 15 years because I wanted the features of the newer model.

So far no one I know has complained about geovids other than the have fogged up under extreme conditions (on the outside)

Since getting my Leicas I almost never use my Swarovski binos. I think the Leica is the best on the market.

Great Question!  I have the Pro 32 Leica’s and Pure 12x.  Buddy has the Zeis.  If the Pures had rangeing they would be perfect.  I use the Leica’s for hunting.  I like the size.  They are a hair smaller and lighter than the Zeiss which are also nice.  Between the two there is no clear winner imo.  But Leica’s were little less $ and I had years of experience with a Leica 1600B rangefinder so I knew that worked.

I have the leica 3200's and love them. I think they're all pretty great ad went with the leica's simply because they felt better in hand than any of the other big 3 for me and that with the new leica's released the 3200's are marked down to I want to say $2600.

Which Leica's?

I looked though the Geovid R and Geovid Pros a few month ago, and while the R's were fine, the Pros were on another level in regards to brightness.

I looked though as many range finding binos as I could (I don't think I got my hand on the Zeis though) and Geovid Pro's and Swaro El Range stood out among the rest.

Can’t say anything about zeiss. Never looked through them. I’ve had the Leica hdb’s for 5 years now. I have zero complaints. Side by side to the el’s I honestly couldn’t tell much of a difference other than the leica’s range finder was faster than the el’s. At the time it wasn’t worth the extra 1k for not much difference between the two. I made the mistake of looking through the nl pure at the expo and it really has me thinking about going back to regular bino and separate range finder. Hands down the best bino glass I’ve looked through!
Happiness is being in the woods!!!
