I would accuse her of trespassing for staying on the property after you told her to get lost.  >:(  Did the sheriff give her a trespass warning...?

I do not think he did but he did not talk to me after he talked to her. I should have just said that I caught her in the act of stealing my very exspensive hunting dog

Wow that sucks man...I had an a similar experience awhile ago. Took my GSP into the store to fit him for a new kennel for the back of the truck. They were very concerned I was getting one to small...we argued for awhile and I finally left and bought one somewhere else. They wanted me to get on for x-large dogs...he's 60 pounds, it was like a condo for him not a kennel.

You know, I was thinking, we take our kids and strap them in god forsaken contraptions in the name of safety. We put leashes on our kids, and leave them in cradles, pens and such. Maybe this woman should be rescuing infants from car seats instead of your dog. I think she should seriously face some type of penalty for harassing you and wasting the time of Officer. "PURE CRAP"

Too bad you don't have her name etc. and a lawyer on retainer. Even if you don't I'd get the information and  file charges against her for illegal trespass and have a restraining order drawn up against her entering your place of business.

If my dogs don't know you and you approach me, my wife, our property etc. they WILL get aggressive and let you know to stay away, especially in a kennel.

Stuff like this makes me mad. Who the #$%^ do people think they are. I have a neighbor that got a new puppy and of course it barked during the day. They had another of the same breed and they were in a large kennel and let out several times a day. I know this because they had my kids watch the dogs for a weekend and they made sure to write a list of feeding times and plying times. Last week the pound lady shows up with the police and takes the new puppy and accuses them of animal cruelty because of one complaint. Then they only take the one dog. Doesn't even make sense to me. How can they legally do this.

This seems to bee a common problem.  Some jerk reported me for animal cruelty too.  When the animal controll officer came to check on us she drove down the alley behind my house and saw that my dog was on a 20 foot cable run, with a twelve foot lead, with a dog house and fresh food and water.  She came around to the front door and informed my wife that there had been a complaint but that she could tell just from driving by that the dog was fine.  People should get fined for bogus complaints!!! >:(
There's a reason they call it hunting, not killing.

My GSP absolutely loves his kennel. He can't get in it fast enough when he jumps in the truck. It's hilarious watching him get all excited. He even hits the door with his ass on the way in and swings the door shut on himself. I'm sure he'd latch the door himself too if he could.

I would have filed a complaint on her for trying to steal my dog.  The cost of a pup from a breeder, plus training, plus other expenses can get to grand theft.  As far as I'm concerned, if a stranger takes my dog out her kennel, where she's safe, they're trying to steal her.

My lab loves her crates, too.  She has one in the back of the truck that she automatically gets in when she gets in the truck.  She has another in the kitchen, and when she's ready to sleep for the night, she'll go get in it by herself.

Some people just don't understand how dogs are.  crates help them feel safe, especialy in a place where there are a lot of new people.  She is probably one of the people leading the charge against the fish throwers at Pikes Place Market.

Some people have no clue! This isn't a dog story, but a couple of summers ago my family and I went up to the "Hole In The Wall" at Cape Alava near Forks for a day at the beach. My kids were having a blast looking at all of the sea creatures and hermit crabs etc., when this whack-job lady comes up to my then six-year old boy and scolds him for picking up a starfish. She says, "How would you like it if someone picked you up and ripped you out of your home?!!?" Before I even had the chance to set her straight, my boy spoke the wisdom that only a six year old can, "Well, why would I care... I'm not a starfish!" (Then I jumped in and finished her off)   :chuckle:  (PS... Not trying to jack the thread.)
Good job responsibly crate training your dog.

Thats not a threadjacking but fits right in.   I just heard of some local news where a guy dispatched his own dog, and is now being charged with a felony.  I'll see if I can find it.
