79 Years Ago Today
« on: February 23, 2024, 10:11:41 AM »
The flag was raised on Mount Suribachi Iwo Jima on this day in 1945. The battle began four days earlier and would take a total of 36 days to end. The Navy and Marines suffered over 24,000 casualties and 6,140 died during the battle. Never forget. Fair winds and following seas. Semper Fi.

Charlie Kirk didn't speak hate, they hated what he said. Don't get it twisted.

No, he didn't. That accusation appeared in the Atlantic. The guy who ran the story talked to a guy who talked to a guy who said he heard him say it. They never interviewed the source or found him. Complete fabrication that the main stream media ran with and never retracted. You should check it out before you pass it on. Just sayin'.

Thanks Pianoman for posting.  That was the day my grandpa lost his sight in his right eye down near the airfield (if the records were correct).  I knew he always was going to the eye Dr but never knew he was blind until I was about 16.

Awesome picture. Cool video, too. It took me a little while to figure out he was painting the Iwo Jima picture upside down.

Never forget the sacrifices that were made.

Those sacrifices are approaching us again in the Pacific.
