I think we “WSTA” should go back to classes only twice a year at the spring and summer gatherings only . No more online certification

That series Yellowstone created a big demand for cowboy hats. Price of hatter beaver has been up for 2, 3 years now because of that. Top grade beaver hasn't seen much increase in demand, but all beaver even marginal ones are worth a good price now due to this demand for hatter beaver.

It will Never happen Jake, WDFW won't give that one up.  They have a better control on whom gets a license.
As for us WSTA putting on two classes at our rendezvous.  I'm against that.
Our Instructor(s) don't get to take in the rendezvous at all.  Don't get to take in Demo's, talk with Speakers, visit with friends, etc..  Not fair to that person.
I think we should go back to teaching the classes away from the rendezvous.

Beaver market has been up the last few years, and this year looks like it will be again.
I just read a report that says: Beaver $25.00 to $35.00 average.  Depending on sizes as always.

it’s online now so anyone can go through the “course “ and pass and I’ll say the majority will never come to a event for us and help the cause . If we don’t get more members and members that participate we are destined like the dinosaurs, if we do the classes we set it up so they’re members at least where when it’s online they don’t and most don’t even know what they’re doing setting traps looking at sign etc…
