Scouting in Peaches tonight.

Found 8 bulls, the pic is the nicest one so far, 28 goats including one billy I think will be near the state record, and two four bucks with some potential.

The elk bone is sure groing fast. Strange that the deer shed months before the elk and grow that much slower. :dunno:

That particular buck was with in easy bow range of my front porch last week!  Just thought it was neat pic, so I threw it in.

looks like he will be a nice buck, have you noticed a decline in deer in that area due to the lous problem? Another question are they considered blacktails or mule deer in there? If I where to wack a deer while bowhunting in the Peaches unit what would it most likely be?

Actually the deer seem to be making a comeback.  There aren't the numbers of 15 years ago, but they do seem to be increasing a little.  The deer around here are benchleg deer, but technically would be classified as Mule deer even though they are all crossbreeds.
