must not have been much left of him. 30-06 at 300 yards i bet he darn near exploded  :chuckle:

Hey Dan-

If you are looking for someone to kill instead of trap them, I also live in Stanwood, up off 300th St near Lk. Ketchum. Lwt me know, becasue I am also taking care of a neighbors coyote problem with them killing his goats. PM me if you need help.

Not as bad as the one that I hit with my .300 win mag at 150 yds. It was nothing but a little pile of meat and fur.

like the terryucky restaurants then   :yike:

Nice talking to ya Paul. Thanks a bunch for the advice. BTW I forgot about the link, its to the no shooting zone in my area (it takes a long time to load).

I got two solutions.....

1.
Since you can use a centerfire use a rimfire. 17HMR.

Hide on your roof and wait for them to come in.....
THen plink them roight off their dam feet.

2.
Hide behind your chimmney on the roof and snipe it with a 50 BMG!!

BOOOOMM!!! whhoooop! and there's your coyote problem..

And a little mess to clean up. :chuckle:

I read recently that taking a couple of coyotes on your property will change the pack behavior and they'll be more wary.  Maybe they'll push out past your place a little further.   If your remote caller didnt work why not bait them, my understanding is that its legal.   Red light and coyote bait....should solve your problem.

Think I saw coyote bait at Cabelas

Take a hammer up to the roof with you, if you use this option. Muzzle blast is likely to loosen shingles!  :yike:

But I like the roof-sniping angle of it.  'Maybe' the 17 HMR is a better choice. Presuming a pitched roof, take a sleeping bag with you to make it easier to wait them out, laying on the side opposite their likely approach, most-hidden from view.

May have to bait them and shoot them. I sent an email to the fish and game but they have not responded.

Being I live in a no shooting Zone, I still should have the right to defend my farm animals and pets. I need to bone up on depredation laws. Anyone have tips/links to those laws??

I have not seen the rotten coyote's in a few weeks, did see some younger kids chasing a pup into the stickers.

Exactly!
Precisely the best vantage point for you're on the upper hand.

cause you have a gun.  :chuckle:            :mgun2:

Taken from the game regulations. So if you live out of city limits here are your options.

Firearm Restriction Areas

The firearm restriction areas listed on this page
have been established by the Washington Fish and
Wildlife Commission. Centerfire and rimfire rifles
are not legal for hunting in these areas.
In firearm restriction areas, hunters may hunt only
during the season allowed by their tag.
Archery tag holders may hunt during
archery seasons with archery equipment.
Muzzleloader tag holders may hunt during
muzzleloader seasons with muzzleloader
equipment except in the GMU 652
restriction area outlined for King County.
Modern firearm tag holders may hunt
during modern firearm seasons with bows
and arrows, crossbows, muzzleloaders,
or revolver-type handguns meeting
equipment restrictions, or legal shotguns
firing slugs or buckshot.

Snohomish
All areas west of Highway 9, until the intersection
of Highway 9 and Highway 2, then east along
Highway 2 to Highway 203, then all areas west of
Highway 203 to the Snohomish/King County line.
