Go to the mule deer forum.  Start with the first post and work you way forward.  Lots of threads on the Desert.

By the way congrats on drawing my tag. :hello:

There is nothing secret about the Desert carbonkid, get a map and mark the boundaries, it's not a huge area and its flat so you can cover a lot of area in a day. There is quite a bit of private area in that unit so try to get some private access. You could walk most of the public part of that area in a long weekend scouting trip. Good luck

OK so maybe it's not a secret and No I don't need him to mow my lawn but I did scout it for 5 weekends and flew the entire unit in a plane so I would say I have some $'s invested in that unit!!! I'm not opposed to giving out info just ask some of the others on here it but would just be nice to hear from some of these guys before the draws so you can get to know a little about a mans character before you start handing over the info!!!  :twocents:

You know though M-ray, there are tons of lurkers on here that don't want to post for various reasons.  I bet half the members got started on here because they drew a tag or needed some help or info.  I'm with you on the 1 post guy asking for a honey hole.  I've gone off on them.  We will get a lot of good new members this month because of the draws though.  I see both sides of it.
