On my third set of shocks on my 2004 Ram Cummings. Stock ones, what Les Schwab heavy duty ones are (they sucked), and Bilsteins for the win.

Never heard of the KYB Monomax, made in America is a plus

Interesting reviews.

I’m running bilstein 5100 on my 2012 f250 diesel and they are top quality. I’ve ran them on all of my diesels and never had an issue. My truck is hooked to a trailer or driving in the mountains 95% of the time

blew both fronts on my cummins, 1 lasted 8 months

Shane, you defy all odds 🤣

For those guys who have replaced their factory shocks with Bilsteins, how much did your ride improved in the mountains?

Does not sound like I can go wrong with Bilstein or KYB Monomax.

Pricing on Amazon is only a difference of $40.

I like Buying American...  Will have to noodle on this a little.

Bilstein have been average to me and a bit over rated on my 3/4 ton trucks. I actually liked the upper end Ranchos Better in my 06 with the Duramax. Dont remember if they were 6000 or 9000 series. KYB makes a good shock. They will probably be my next choice.

I don't want to mislead with my statement about KYB being an American Company. Their Global headquarters is Japan and they are the world’s largest supplier of shocks and struts to vehicle manufacturers Supplier to major OEMs including, GM, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Infiniti, Chrysler, Subaru, Toyota, Lexus, and Volkswagen.

Their Global aftermarket headquarters and manufacturering is in based in Greenwood, Indiana  USA

A lot in a good way, but they are a stiffer ride. but hey I’m no shock expert but I did stay in a motel six once.
