Yeah my first DIY just went very DIWrong. Watched lots of youtube videos. Couldn't get the feathers to stay spread out, they kept pulling the pins out. Seems like a piece of solid foam insulation would be a better backer than cardboard. Didn't scrape all the meat off the base, got as much off as possible and borax/salted it. Maybe that was the problem.
Yesterday there had to be close to 150 birds in the field right near Immnel road off 395. There were also birds in Bogans flat just north of kettle falls. At 60+ mph it was hard to see how many had beards.

I have a pin dropped on those birds iRem Tip of the week: drop pins (OnX, GoHunt, Huntwise etc) when you see birds while driving or hunting to reference later! Very helpful when birds are getting pressured.
