This idiot judge gets her authority from the the city of NY who gets it from the state of NY who gets it from the 10th Amendment of the US Constitution.

It's always amazing to me when government want to act like the Constitution doesn't exist because their entire authority exists in the Constitution. Without the 10th Amendment you're just some random idiot in a robe and a cop is just some random idiot with fancy uniform.

Either the entire Constitution counts or none of it does, period.

New York has always had crazy gun laws, especially in NYC. I’m 51 years old and even back when I was a kid, the laws were crazy strict.  You can’t legally own a handgun in NY state unless you have a permit from the county you live in if I remember correctly.

The way I read what she says is that it’s NYC. The 2nd doesn’t apply here due to the firearms laws NYC has. Maybe I’m wrong. I get that that’s messed up to say, but that’s their crazy gun laws.

Believe that's the Sullivan Law. Now check this out: let's say you are flying to an East Coast destination other than NYC and have fully complied with FAA and your airline's regs to transport a handgun and it is in checked baggage. Then, let's say your flight is forced to land in a NYC airport due to weather or some drunk and rowdy passenger. You are in NYC with an unregistered handgun.......you are on your way to Rikers.

NYC’s gun laws have nothing to do with Trump. They’ve probably been the same gun laws since Trump was a Democrat.

Boy, people keep doubling down on the crazy. You’d think that’s pretty good grounds for an appeal. Unfortunately she’s probably elected, so she’s on the bench for as long as she wants.

It’s crazy how there is no repercussions for judges that do not uphold there duties they are sworn to. This man is now sitting in jail and she gets to go on and continue to decide others lives with known biases.

No different than the prosecutor and judge in Trumps civil case where he was convicted and the prosecutor in Georgia that openly ran on the plan to go after Trump. These people are not fair and unbiased as the judicial system is supposed to be.
