Wounds on critters

Just got this picture of a doe with some pretty gnarly gashes. Thought it might make for an interesting topic.

Thoughts on what she ran into?

A lot more barb wire fences than big cats in this area. I’ve had cameras out year round for 3 years and haven’t gotten any pictures of any cats, big or small. And no bears either.

We get pictures of bears on almost every camera. We put out and have pictures of cougars on five different cameras several times we have pictures pictures of two cougars together on three different cameras now.

Boat load of fences in the far east, have saved a few deer and the coyotes and the like have done will

Seem's like the wounds would be more on the belly and back if it was a fence. Would they choose to go through a fence before jumping it? Just my thoughts.

That deer looks rough, even it's face looks rough. I would say either it survived being hit by a car or a young inexperienced cougar has moved into your area and your gonna see it soon on one of your cams.

I have seen some huge marks on deer.

That coug crash was hilarious. He did get a pile of fur off that deer though
