montana mixed bag
« on: October 31, 2009, 02:35:17 PM »
first ever antelope no monster, but was still tickled with him. not many where i hunted only saw 3 oe 4 each day. but it was close to family for visiting in the evenings. then filled our whitetail B tags. then it's never complete without birds and dogs. did'nt do as much of that as i wanted to was saving it for after tagging big game. but we had to flee in front of a storm for home. it's never long enough. maybe i can get back at christmas for more birds. also here's another use for you're crabpot pullers, dad welded a 3' pipe on an old stinger then wired a plug for the trailer plug in worked awsome. and it looks like i skrewed up my camera dates it says 2001 instead of 09

Cool set-up for the rear bumper, never thought about a Davit....  I just got some metal yesterday to make one for this up coming year...  Would have worked out great a couple weeks ago....

Way to go Dick!  Looks like you had a good time.  I always wish I could stay longer too.  Your pup looks a lot like mine!   ;)

thanx, we were making a stalk on a antelope for my dad last tues morning he was maybe 1/2 mi. north of us and it was a race agianst the snow and wind. weather won it hit half way to him driving fine snow right in our faces. we closed to i'm guessing 100 yrds you could see a shadow of him stand but dad could'nt see through the scope it kept filling with snow. luckley we had a stubble line to follow back to the 2 track the truck was parked on. looked like it was there to stay for 2 or 3 days so we packed up and left. another adventure to remember.
