Wyoming Unit 82 pronghorn
« on: May 14, 2024, 12:03:32 PM »
Pretty good chance me and the son get drawn for unit 82 pronghorn this year. This will be our first hunt for pronghorn. Any thoughts on this unit and just general info for first timers. Thanks

If you are going to be in Cody head to Nature's Design Taxidermy and ask the Taxidermist's in the back about goat quality and what you need to look for to determine what a good goat looks like. Great people and they do amazing taxidermy work. Just got my goat back a month ago and couldn't be happier.
We did not hunt 82, but we hunted a unit that was close to it. Feel free to PM me with any questions

82-1 or 82-2? I've had this tag previously, the 82-2.
Wishing I was fishing...or in Wyoming

I can't imagine you will have anything but a wonderful experience.

Best wishes on the draw.

There’s lots of videos online on how to field judge antelope. My advice is to wait until you find one that you will be happy with and don’t be in a hurry. When you see the right one you won’t have to talk yourself into it. Personally score doesn’t matter as much as finding one that looks cool to me. Good luck and have a safe trip!
