Don't forget 1500 hours tomorrow.  :salute:
It's a day of reflection and remembrance of those who died while serving in the U.S. military, according to the Congressional Research Service. The holiday is observed in part by the National Moment of Remembrance, which encourages all Americans to pause at 3 p.m. for a moment of silence.

Our ceremony at the Legion this AM was touching, especially the flawless echo taps played by two scouts. Patriot Riders, the Women's Auxiliary, Scouts, and post members attended. I thought about Aaron, my dad and uncle, a neighbor who died in Vietnam from agent orange but didn't realize it until a few years ago, and some off those Legion members who've passed in the last year. Never forget.

Will veterans ever publically rebuke the stores who call for us to celebrate Memorial Day by spending money at their store sale or has America become so superficial.

Memorial Day sales have been going on for decades. You and I still choose to honor our brothers and sisters on this day. There are relatively few who haven't served that understand the meaning of it and how it affects us. I just appreciate those who do and don't take the sales as a slap in the face. :dunno:
