has been slow in 11 from my interactions with counters.  Defiance very slow. i did get out first eve, had to toss back a 20+ # wild. got back out saturday eve, picked up a 15@ clipper. was not even a counter at dock at defiance when i got in! that was a first. just not seeing fish around that area right now...

Only heard it’s pretty slow, opened up to two kings and 7 days a week, kinda tells you how slow it is.

There is, or was (been a couple years since I've been in that area) a guide who lived a couple miles from the Ridgefield boat launch, I never saw tie downs on the back of his boat, hope he didn't have a false sense of security with his short drive to the launch.

That’s kinda what I thought too. Stopped by the PD ramp yesterday, looking pretty slow still.

8 shakers so far this am with one 6-7 pound king w a fun.  No boats out here where we are at.  Rough water if you are not protected by the wind.

The fish are there and you will get your fish when the tide lines up.  Having to deal with these giant tides make it very very difficult to show that the fish are there.

Waited till slack tide, we prob caught 17-18 shakers and only the one 6-7 pound native.  The wind just never stopped which kept us in one area.  Didn’t make it to the clay banks, fished across from desmoines.  Will try again on Friday.

I burned a few gallons out there this AM.  I didn't touch one.

we quit around 2, had one other shaker, other than that not even a takedown.  Tried mooching as well, really slow.  My cousin went back out last evening and caught 6 shakers.

Cousin is out this AM, so far only a few shakers. He more north of Tacoma, Tacoma hasn’t given him a reason to go back for now, maybe the June 18th opener we’ll be back.

Went out to PD yesterday morning. Lots of dog fish. Saw two kings caught, one decent one but none for me.

Well, hopefully they are just a little late and the mid July season will be the one.
