Nothing for me this year.  Burned my deer points last year and was a longshot for the elk.

Very odd hunt. December hunt.  Was expecting snow.  Turned out to be 70s and even touched 80 one day.  Lost a few days due to high winds keeping them all down.  I missed a heller nearing dark about a week in.  Damn, I can't believe I missed the biggest buck I've seen live in my life.  Got a bunch of pics through the spotting scope to remember him though.  I only had two weeks due to work so couldn't stay the full season (and a few days of travel time), but I enjoyed heck out of the hunt.  Passed over numerous bucks and saw gorgeous country. On the last day before I left, decided I didn't want to eat tag soup and popped a small 4 point.  Memorable hunt though, glad I could be there.

Hey, all.   A buddy of mine from 2/7 and Marine combat veteran (0331) just drew a tag for Colorado.  Like most of us that don't live in that state, he's trying to assess the best way forward now that he has the tag.  Financially, I don't think he can afford a guide(?).  Any suggestions at all on units, local connections (possibly veterans), etc., are welcome.  Thanks.
"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom He has chosen as His heritage! ... The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue.  Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him."  -Psalm 33:12-22
