Black Bear / Grizzly Bear Test
« on: June 15, 2009, 06:51:21 PM »
All Bear hunters hunting in northern WA, Idaho, or MT should take this test. It is required before you can hunt bear in Montana, but the other two states should also require it.

Take this test until you are 100% every time. This test will save someone a lot of grief.....

Once you score 100%, post it here!!!!

I know everyone's time is valuable, that's why you can't afford not to take this test.

Just take the test at the bottom of the page if you already know how to recognize grizzlies....

Great guys...it may save someone a hassle someday...First time I took it several years ago I did not get 100%...I take it every so often just to feel safe.

Imagine if the one photo that someone may have missed had been in an actual hunting situation. That is why I recommended repeatedley taking it.

Several states outfitter or guide tests are open book tests, they are not concerned about if you would have missed an answer or not, the purpose is to ensure you know the answer to every question when you are done.

I am surprised so many of you were 100% the first try, that's good. They do change the photos every so often, so it's worth checking it every year or two.

First try 100%, that was way to easy, if you missed some you better start studying bears so you dont kill a grizz ;) There was one at the beginnig that I was pretty sure  it was a black bear but was real decieving.

93%, missed 1. I missed the one with the sow and cubs. I think I just read the question wrong and hit the answer too quick.  :chuckle:

100% first try and I am not a bear hunter per say.  I am an opportunistic bear hunter.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

I think that is a loaded question anyways. Wouldn't shoot a sow with cubs. There should be that option on the answers.  :twocents:

It's great that so many are taking this test and doing so well, someone needs to convince the DOW to add it to their hunting page. Education is always a good thing. :twocents:
