Just came back from our second trip to Entiat.  This time for 4 days. Fog has been a challenge.  Impossible to glass from up above.  Seeing plenty of buck, but mostly younger ones.  heading back for the last 4 days of the permit on Sunday.  Hopefully some cold weather and snow up high will push some more mature bucks down.

So we headed back over there early Sunday morning for the 3rd and final trip during this 20 day permit season.  My last opportunity to fill the tag I'd been waiting 19+ years to draw. I had 4 days to get it done.  Amazing how much pressure I put on myself to get a nice buck after waiting so long.
We started off Sunday glassing the same canyons we had been seeing good numbers of deer in on our first 2 trips over, unfortunately we weren't seeing much.  Mostly does, fawns and really young bucks.   I decided to head over to a couple other areas that we had been in earlier this month that showed promise, but didn't have as many deer.  We weren't having to deal with fog for once, so being able to glass from the ridges was nice.  We started seeing more deer and a few older class bucks.

You're passing some dandy bucks. That takes some serious discipline. I would have punched it on the one with the corkscrew tine.

Good to see your seeing a lot of bucks👍 It’s encouraging for the future. Good luck to you, looks like you’re also seeing some real good bucks. You’ll know when it’s the right one.

Yes closes the 20th, none of those bucks pictured are the quality needed for that tag so hopefully OP found a buck he’s really happy with or had a great hunt and saw lots of deer.
