Mt Baker Goat Tag Holders
« on: July 15, 2020, 01:02:58 PM »
I usually reach out to the tag holders when I see them post they successfully drew, but I haven’t seen or flat missed their posts.  I live pretty close to these units and find myself in one or more of the units weekly.  If any of the tag holders have any questions: trail/road conditions, access, cell coverage (none), where I’ve seen goats...., just reach out. I figure I’ll never draw this tag and if I can help someone else be successful I will.

As of yesterday the snow level was around 5k ft.  There is more snow in the timber and north sides.  All the pics below are from yesterday the goat in the pic would have been in the Chowder Ridge unit.

I need a phone scope haha

Picture below is of Chowder Ridge

Below is of Avalanche Gorge

Awesome gesture! I figured I need to spend more time heading up there hiking each summer until I do draw. 😉

Went back out today with my wife and hunting buddy.  We spotted another three goats.  Two were in the Avalanche Gorge unit and one was in Chowder Ridge unit.  Snow is melting fast and the mosquitoes are getting thick.

My wife takes better pics than me, but she agrees we need a phone scope haha

And the flowers are blooming

Saw almost 30 goats over the last two days.  This guy had us pegged as soon as we rounded the corner. I have a phone scope on order so maybe these will look better.

Going to bump this up for any of the lucky tag holders. Offer still stands. I won’t be getting up there much until late July bc of work.
