195 1/8". 42 5/8" of mass. Way under judged him.

Giant. Congrats on a great buck.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

That's an understatement; I knew you were being way too conservative. Congrats again man!

Was this buck an unexpected find or was it the one you were targeting. Seems like the one you mentioned targeting was significantly smaller.

target buck. I had him at 184ish. I was absolutely spot on as far as lengths go but my eyecrometer isnt calibrated for that kind of mass.  A really heavy buck is 38". Almost 43 is just absurd.  I also didn't account for his body and head size.  His head is an inch wider than any of my mature bucks.  So I was off on his spread credit.  Conservatively I've parted out and packed 250+ deer in my life. I've NEVER encountered one this size.  Just an absolute unit of a buck.

for big bucks it pretty much is.  Even after killing this deer, I won't put in for it again.  Lots of unique bucks but not much for size. Next biggest was 20" smaller.

Just curious if this was the same buck I was telling you about that I watched everyday last winter.  I think I told you we had him guessed at 195+
Could see him ever evening from the dining room window with a spotting scope.

Negative. A good long ways from you.
