Great story, sure enjoyed following along. Gotta ask...all those bucks in the pics you shared, like Trashy, are dead? Tagged by other hunters? Would have liked to see what Trashy looked like next season...

Trashy got taken during the late rifle tag. He was a young deer and one we were really looking forward to seeing next year.

Eight foot+ silage corn under a pivot, thousands of acres of it, makes for great hiding!!  Great job!

I’m so glad you put this whole hunt experience out for all of us to see it’s kinda like we were almost there. Awesome adventure and a hunt you will always remember. Any chance you weighed the boned out meat?

negative. Came close though. Mini dog actually ended up getting killed by a forum member during the Oct season.  He's an awesome buck.

All dead. Killed by tag holders.  Was really surprising to me. Trashy had the potential to possibly be that 230" nontypical we all dream about.  Was killed damn near in that exact spot I filmed him.

unfortunately I did not.  I never think about that stuff till way after the fact. Like when somebody asks :chuckle: I'll pull what's left out of the freezer and weigh it. First in first out method so we've been eating on him for a few months now. Made burger a few weeks ago but I grind everything from the entire season so no clue what's Corndog and what's not.

We always call the mini corn dogs “corn doggies”. It really seems like you named these deer after things you saw around the Luvs :chuckle:
