Will he be a good one?
« on: June 15, 2009, 10:20:52 PM »
How do you think he'll turn out?  Got several pics of this buck and he looks like he will grow into a pretty good one.  Looks like he's got thick bases and kinda wide but not much tine length yet.  Seem to be late starters around these parts.  I'm gonna keep tabs on him.  Thanks for looking  :)

Here's one from last year.  Don't know if it's the same buck but I know he made it through the hunting season.

Yeah he'll be a good one but the second one (which i don't think is the same deer) is better ...  Great buck with all you want in a whitey!!!  :)

I didn't think they were the same but always good getting a second opinion.  Here's a couple more of the second buck.  He had 4 countable points on his right side and 6 on the left with a cool crab claw.  If I hadn't got worried on getting nothing and tagged a smaller 4x4 prior to noticing this guy at the end of the season, I would not let this guy pass.  Maybe this year... ;)

The first one looks like he'll be a shooter an I'd definitely drop the second one in a heartbeat
