Dessert Unit Early Archery
« on: June 24, 2024, 10:30:59 AM »
Let’s see all those Nice bucks taken or seen in the early archery sept 1-29in the Dessert unit in the last 5 years? Anyone got an opinion on if this is the best dessert tag to draw? Anyone got some pictures of the quality of bucks that are running around there early?

I went to school with a fellow whose dad was a retired bio for WDFW. His dad drew it and shot a 33 inch monster. It was before 2013 when I graduated post-grad stuff.  I still remember the day hunting came up in class and Cory turned his lap top screen toward us and showed us his dad with the beast. If I recall correctly, it looked similar to the huge mule Steve Rinella shot on the episode with Janis and Weatherby on a guided horseback.

my dad was region 2 wildlife biologist and at first thought maybe we went to school but Im not Cory lol.   I hunted the area with my dad as I grew up before it became a draw only and we have taken some decent ones then.    and  if the tag holder needs some help msg me and we can pass some info.

A dessert unit sounds very attractive to us old fat guys who enjoy sweets. Good luck! I hope you tag a big mousse!

I would get it wrong too except for this useful saying from an elementary school teacher:
Desert = sand
Dessert = Strawberry Sundae.
