Damn Squirrels

Does anybody have any good baiting ideas for squirrels?  I got a couple of them terrorizing my garden.

Yeah I was looking for more towards permanently getting rid of them.  I was gonna put some bait out and sit with a air rifle just didn’t know what would be best to bring them in

Live trapped with peanut butter as bait and then pellet to the head. No stray pellets and a simple solution to an invasive rodent.

they forage all day long on the bird seed the wife puts out for the birds.  Funny to watch the squirrels and birds feasting together and the cat watching flicking it's tail......

How come it always seems like there are more Squirrels around my Deer Stand than around my Bird feeder?  :chuckle:

 :yeah:
Bigger pile in the middle (handful) and a couple outside each door, one on the way in and you won't be able to keep them out.  The one CP listed is what I use.  I use sunflower seeds or whatever is cheapest for a bag at Walmart.

If you have a bunch, once the first one goes in don't go back there as you can usually get two or even three at a time.

 :)

I know that I am the odd man out but I LIKE to have squirrels around when I am hunting, especially on stands and even more when calling ANYTHING  from coyotes to deer to moose.  Squirrels warned me that the biggest whitetail deer I've killed was coming.  They have told me about cougars, bobcats and lynx that were coming in to my call and told me where the cat was.  I don't think most big game animals pay much attention to squirrels and I don't think squirrels warn off the game so that I don't get a shot.  IME squirrels, ravens and many kinds of birds do me more good than harm when I'm hunting.   :chuckle:
