I'll try to load as I check cams, that way it's not a picture dump.
I have cams that haven't been checked, cams that are soaking cause I just put them up . Everything in-between.
Bit off a little more than I can chew.
But have learned a lot along the way .

Still haven't found the grey grand daddy ghost, probably never will.
A lot of dinks and young bucks,at least I'm trying,I definitely know where the meat bucks are at.
I've had a lot of Camara failure due to SD cards full sooner than I expected. Kinda letting minerals dry up and see what pops up.
Only one new spot has really got me excited enough to put a camera next year.
Still a lot of work going forward.
Enjoy!

The run down here is
All the pics posted are from 8 different camera locations, they are currently soaking, with sensitivity turned down so my memory cards don't fill up.
I still have 3 cams that haven't been checked since I put them out.
I have three cams that where placed recently.

Each camera spot has a quarter salt block, plus loose salt mix was placed when camera was put up.
I haven't been bringing any salt to check cameras.
Some spots salt will be gone by bear season, some may have a sliver of a salt block.
If I find a decent buck,I'll probably refresh that spot if needed.
Some of those 8 locations my cam stopped working before June, some cams have 32 gigabyte some 16,all the 16 are full.
I suspect I'll have a few more pics later this fall.

That's the run down.
All in attempt to find what I call the sleeper buck.
A dark horn beast that lives in the timber.

Cool pics. The one on 6/19 would be pushing his luck with me this year. I want a mature deer BUT, I've made 3 trips totaling 3,500 miles so far this year. I'll add 1100  more roughly mid-Aug and I haven't killed a whitetail since I left Bama after the 2009 season.

That buck....lol
That is a brand new spot for me, heavily hunted during modern firearm. It was another camera failure spot. Checked it, didn't take my picture at my arrival. I had a spare camera in my pack.
Didn't have any good pic on the first check, went back a week later to make sure camera was working. And got those pics.

Anyway a spot I've hunted a handful of times, never thought to put a cam up. It will come down before modern.
The smaller buck has double eye guards, few more years he'd be looking good.

Check the time stamps here.
This is a spot I pulled the camera,I was getting about a dozen people a year. Figured it was a matter of time before the camera got messed up. It was getting pretty bad.
I'll still hunt there from time to time. May put the cam back after it cools down for a year or two. Had that cam there for four years,I think word of mouth was out of the bag.
Had decent bucks pics at first, slowly degraded.
Last year had more people, then bucks. Left the salt block for the handful of doe using it. I'd guess the salt block is just about gone.

So ya did a check on a camera.im gonna use this location as an example. It's a new spot ,perfect to show how it doesn't always work out. I'd describe it as ....Dinks of the week.
Good variety of animals, just nothing nice. Will hold out the rest of the year. See if anything good shows, definitely not showing potential for a camera next year.
