Butts on the offset

Every year for the 4th our good buddy has family come from BC, Cali, Idaho and Nevada for a few days to celebrate. We've been doing it for 30 years.  My turn to cook today.  Alarm set for 5 and butts on at 6.  90 minutes in and here we are.  Will keep you updated.  Bbq chicken tomorrow.   America !

3 hours in....enough of the offset.  Another 6 or so hours at 275 in the crotch pot with apple cider and we'll enjoy with some pickled cole slaw we made up
