Im looking power banks like a Jackery.  Something in the $2-300 range.  Something to keep at camp and charge small devices like phone, inreach, headlamp etc.  good options for solar.  What do you recommend

I’ve been impressed with my buddy’s Jackery 300. It’s at the 250$ price range I think. Holds its charge very well in November Montana cold and can keep a lot of things charged. I’m looking in to one myself. Wasn’t as impressed with the goal zero one I have.

...and how do you charge the battery pack?  If you are going to add solar why not use it to charge a Lithium Iron battery and run 12 V devices from that?  Certainly a less expensive way to go.  You could probably get away with simply charging up a 100 Amp hr battery at home and using it for a week or more without recharging.  You'd need to add up your loads to get the capacity/duration right.

I like my Ecoflow. Recharges very fast on AC and have solar integration options. They are integrating a lot of other options and not just looking at it as just battery packs.
