Join us Trappers, we need your involvement. We have a demo lineup that will be educational, and entertaining. Meals, auction, kid’s activities, air conditioning, camping on sight. Very clean rest rooms and showers on sight. Shopping and the river are close by.
We have, and will be working with WDFW on setting up a workable bobcat jaw removal and submission process. Please pm me with any questions/ concerns you may have so we can take them to WDFW.
WDFW will attend our gettogether to spell out their procedure and we will demo how to remove the jaw.
Jaw submission is a done deal. This involvement by WDFW is not a discussion. It’s not a debate. They will be there to give us direction on this. WSTA is being proactive by getting our answers now, and to help shape the process for the greater good.
We are making lemonade out of lemons for the benifit of all; all sportspeople, WDFW, and the resource: the Bobcat.

Stephanie Landry with the carnivore section of WDFW will be at the WSTA event on Sunday 8/11 at 0930 at Cashmere expo center (fair grounds). She will give a demo on bobcat jaw removal. She will also give a presentation on the bobcat jaw study.

I can’t make it, but I would love to hear their reasoning and all the new data they can get from this jaw that they could not get from the tooth. Also would love to hear when we are going to start turning in the lower jaws of all bears, big horn sheep, moose, mountain goats, etc., since they obviously cannot get accurate age information From the tooth and if they can, why are we giving them the whole jaw?
