I know that some of you on here have done business with Buzzi Cook.
He has been a close friend of mine for 42 years.  We had some great times together.
He will truly be missed by me and my family.
Rest in Piece my friend, until we meet again "Happy Trails"

Here is an Obituary from his daughter Lise in today's Seattle Times.

John O Cook III “Buzzi”
A former North Bend, WA resident Buzzi Cook age 76 died June 30, 2024 at the hospital in Lacey/Olympia WA, due to complications of Pneumonia, and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.
He was born July 16, 1947 in Biloxi, MS and lived there many years until coming to Seattle WA area.  He served In the US Navy and was attached to a Marine Corp unit during Vietnam as a Combat Medic. He earned two Purple Hearts and other awards during his service.   :salute:

Buzzi owned and operated a successful Taxidermy business with his wife Sandy. (deceased) He was recently awarded a Lifetime Service Award for his dedication and years of service to the Seattle Puget Sound Chapter of Safari Club Intl, Seattle Sportsmen’s Conservation Foundation, and Boone & Crockett.  He is survived by his daughter Lisa (Chuck) Sibert, brothers Ronnie Cook, Samuel Cook, sister Luticia along with granddaughters Brianna Crowell, Karley Sibert, Jennifer Marshall, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife Sandra Cook, son John O Cook IV, parents John O Cook JR, Helen L Cook, sisters Sylvia Cook, Elizabeth Cook, and granddaughter Samantha Crowell.

Buzzi will be remembered by family, many dear friends, and wonderful caregivers for his avid love for the outdoors, sense of humor, rich life experiences, and willingness to help others.
At his request no service will be held.

RIP. Prayers to the family. My father in law has a deer shoulder mount that Buzzi did for him years ago. He was a real artist for sure.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Every father should remember that one day his children will follow his example instead of his advice.

RIP Buzzi, he mounted my sheep off the butte.  Was a great guy who did really great work.

Sorry to hear that, I didn't know him personally but I always heard nothing but good things about him. Everyone in the hunting world knew his name and seemed to respect him!  RIP Sir!
